If you collect the purple star after you finish the level (it will be in the items you can send to camp and show as “Free”) and keep collecting the purple stars in your camp you can then merge for a bigger payout. This does not work with the yellow stars I just merge them and get a larger yellow star and a chest. If you leave the purple star that is left when you complete the level you will be able to send the purple diamond back to camp. Only tap the purple star once and collect the diamond that was released. During the completion of the level you may get a purple star. Then complete that level 9 more times and a nest of eggs go back to your camp. Go back and play that level 5 more times and you get an egg sent to camp. Once you complete that level 3x you will get a chest sent to camp. If you finish playing the level go back and play again. I do see where people are commenting that you are “forced to purchase items”. What helped me was watching tips from other users.
